Eddie Money, best known for his 1986 hit “Take Me Home Tonight,” has been forced to cancel the rest of his 2019 concerts due to pneumonia – including one in Canada.

A rep for the 70-year-old singer said he contracted pneumonia while recovering in hospital from a heart valve procedure.

Among the scrapped appearances is one at CannaFest on Aug. 9 in Grand Forks, BC.

Money told fans at the end of May that he was going into hospital after complaining of shortness of breath.

“I will be undergoing a minor, minimally invasive heart valve surgery,” he tweeted. “I appreciate your thoughts and prayers. I look forward to getting back win stage and rockin’ with you all!”
