Even though Elton John is mourning the loss of his friend George Micheal, who was found dead on Christmas Day, the pop icon is reportedly set to gather the courage and perform a tribute at the singer's upcoming funeral.
According to UK publication Metro, John is planning on performing the duo's 1991 duet, "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me," which they first performed together at the Live Aid concert in 1985 and later at Michael's own 1991 Wembley Arena concert.
The report claims Michael may have two separate ceremonies, with one dedicated to family and close friends and another particularly for his fans.
No confirmation of John's performance at the upcoming funeral has been announced, but it's worth noting that he did honour the late singer at his Dec. 28 concert with that very song as a photo of Michael was projected behind him.

After word of Michael's death spread, John took to Instagram to tribute his late friend with a touching post. "I am in deep shock. I have lost a beloved friend - the kindest, most generous soul and a brilliant artist," he captioned an old photo of the pair. "My heart goes out to his family, friends and all of his fans."
