Eminem mentions Rihanna and Billie Eilish on tracks included on a surprise deluxe edition of Music to be Murdered By that he dropped overnight.
On “Zeus,” the rapper apologizes to Rihanna for a leak last year of a decade-old song in which he “sided with Chris Brown,” who pleaded guilty to assaulting her in 2009.
“Wholeheartedly, apologies, Rihanna,” Eminem raps. “For that song that leaked, I’m sorry, Ri / It wasn’t meant to cause you grief / Regardless, it was wrong of me.”
On “Alfred’s Theme,” he references a confession by Eilish in a 2019 interview with Noisey that she has always been “terrified” of Eminem.
“I’m just fulfilling my wish of killing rhymes / Which is really childish and silly / but I’m really like this / I’m giving nightmares to Billie Eilish,” he raps.
Music to be Murdered By was released in January. The new deluxe edition adds a “Side B” of 16 tracks, with guests like Skylar Grey, Ty Dolla Sign and Dr. Dre.
“Uncle Alfred heard you screaming for more... enjoy Side B,” tweeted Eminem.
The release came with a video for “GNAT,” directed by Cole Bennett, in which Eminem raps: “These bars are like COVID / You get ‘em right off the bat.” Watch it below:
