Bassist Chris Huot will not be on stage with The Glorious Sons during the Canadian leg of the band’s tour.
According to a statement from the band, Huot returned from the U.S. tour to learn that his brother Adrian was gravely ill. “Despite the doctors’ best efforts at Kingston General, he passed away at age 30 leaving two young children and a family in a state of shock, disbelief and grief.”
The Glorious Sons said Huot “understandably wants to be with his family during this time … and we know that’s where Chris needs to be right now.”
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help Adrian’s children.

The Glorious Sons, who have two nominations at the iHeartRadio Music Awards later this month, are scheduled to perform in 15 cities across Canada from tonight until April 11. The band will also perform at the Juno Awards, where their 2019 release A War On Everything is up for Rock Album of the Year.
“We'll take the stage missing our brother, one half of our rhythm section anchor, and above all our friend,” read the band’s message on Instagram. “The Glorious Sons family is incomplete without him on stage, but the Huot family has lost a brother, a son and a father, a hole that can't be filled.”
