Green Day have announced a North American stadium tour to support their forthcoming album, Saviors.
The massive 27-date tour will also feature the Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas on the bill. It is also being advertised as "Celebrating 30 years of Dookie and 20 years of American Idiot," so fans can likely expect a heavy dose of those albums on top of new music.
Kicking off at Washington DC's Nationals Park on July 29, the tour will head to Canada for two shows: Toronto's Rogers Centre on August 1, followed by a headlining slot at Montreal's Osheaga Festival on August 3 (The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid and The Linda Lindas are not confirmed for Osheaga).
Fans who sign up for the band's mailing list by Tuesday, November 7 will get access to pre-sale tickets. A code will then be sent at 6:00PM EST on the 7th. The pre-sale starts Wednesday, November 8 at 10:00AM local time with the general on-sale beginning Friday, November 10 at 10:00AM local time.
