Janet Jackson is single, a new mom, and ready to take on the world.
The pop star has announced she is embarking this fall on the tour she postponed when she became pregnant.
Thanking fans for their patience, she said in a video message: "I am so excited. I cannot wait to see you on stage."
Jackson welcomed son Eissa in January. She later split from her husband of five years, Wissam Al Mana.
In a video message to fans, the singer said her son is “so healthy, so beautiful, so sweet, so loving, such a happy baby.” As for her estranged husband, “we are in court and the rest is in God’s hands.”

Jackson, 50, will kick off the tour on Sept. 7 in Louisiana. It includes stops at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena on Sept. 26 and Toronto’s Air Canada Centre on Nov. 2.
Originally called The Unbreakable Tour, it’s been renamed The State of the World Tour — taken from a track on her 1989 album Rhythm Nation.
Jackson explained: ”It's not about politics. It’s about people, the world, relationships and just love.”
