Justin Bieber is a singing baboon in “Earth,” a song and video debuting Thursday that hopes to inspire young people to focus on saving the planet.
“Hi, I'm a baboon,” Bieber sings. “I'm like a man / just less advanced / and my anus is huge.”
Ariana Grande sings: ”Hey, I'm a zebra / No one knows what I do / But I look pretty cool / Am I white or black?”
Adorable ginger Ed Sheeran is, naturally, a koala.
“Earth” is the brainchild of rapper Lil Dicky (aka David Burd) and features vocal contributions from Shawn Mendes, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Halsey, Zac Brown, Brendon Urie, Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa, Adam Levine, Charlie Puth, Sia, Hailee Steinfeld, Lil Jon, Rita Ora, Miguel, Lil Yachty, Meghan Trainor, Tory Lanez, John Legend, Psy, Kris Wu, Backstreet Boys, Benny Blanco and, of course, Snoop Dogg, Bad Bunny and Cashmere Cat.
Lil Dicky appears in the video in human form, albeit in a loincloth, as does Leonardo DiCaprio (in full Titanic mode). The actor’s eponymous foundation will help distribute proceeds from the track to environmental causes.
The song and video, which has been teased on social media since April 9, is scheduled to be released at midnight.
On Monday, Bieber tweeted: "Friday. Let's save the world." Charlie Puth tweeted Wednesday that the song "is about to be the biggest thing ever."
Monday, April 22 is Earth Day.
