Justin Timberlake will not face any jail time or even DWI charges following his arrest for drunk driving back in June.
TMZ reports that the *NSYNC star has avoided any drunk driving charges after pleading guilty to a lesser offense. Instead he will be charged with a traffic violation for Driving While Ability Impaired, which involves a maximum fine of $300 to $500 and 15 days in jail.
A hearing is set for Friday (September 13) in Sag Harbor Village Court where Timberlake will enter a plea, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney’s office.
He will still face a one-year driver's license suspension, which is customary in the state of New York for anyone who refuses to take a breathalyzer test.
Timberlake was arrested on June 17 after meeting with friends for dinner at the American Hotel that night. He was reportedly pulled over by police moments just after midnight and charged with driving while intoxicated and cited for running a stop sign and failing to keep on the right side of the roadway.
