Justin Timberlake is releasing a four-part, “tell-all” docuseries on Apple TV that will include an interview with Janet Jackson to discuss the infamous Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show.

Variety reports that Timberlake will also discuss his ex-girlfriend Britney Spears and the comments she made in her 2023 memoir, The Woman In Me, which included her confessing to terminating a pregnancy while they were dating.

Although no further details have been revealed by Apple TV, the series was directed by Fisher Stevens.

Timberlake previously issued a public apology to both Jackson and Spears in 2021 after the release of a documentary called Framing Britney Spears.

He famously hired a Spears lookalike to debase her in his 2002 “Cry Me a River” video, and he was widely criticized for letting Jackson take the fall over the “wardrobe malfunction” at the Super Bowl in 2004.

“I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right,” Timberlake wrote, in a message he shared on social media. “I understand that I fell short in these moments and in many others and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism.

“I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed.”

Still, Timberlake seemed to walk that back while performing in 2024. Just days after Spears posted an apology for things she said in her book, Timberlake retracted his apology during “Cry Me A River,” yelling, “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely f**king nobody!”

Despite releasing a new album in 2024, Timberlake has kept a relatively low profile since his arrest for DWI in June that year.
