Katy Perry’s WITNESS last week became her third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 — and the top-selling album by a female artist so far this year.

The album, which was released on June 9, sold 180,000 equivalent album units in its first week to take the top spot on the chart dated July 1.

Perry’s 2013 album Prism and 2010’s Teenage Dream also debuted in the No. 1 spot.

WITNESS, which is Perry's fifth studio album, has spawned the singles "Chained to the Rhythm," "Swish Swish" and "Bon Appétit."
