Lady Gaga has announced that she will be releasing a brand new album, titled Harlequin, this Friday, September 27.
On her social accounts, Gaga posted the album cover along with a caption that reads, "Harlequin. September 27. A companion album to Joker: Folie à Deux."
According to Lady Gaga's store, the album will feature 13 tracks, which appear to follow the theme of the film, in which she will play the role of Joker's love interest, Lee Quinzel, aka Harley Quinn.
For months Gaga has been teasing her next full-length album, which she has nicknamed LG7, however, one would think this "companion album" is something entirely different. Billboards have been appearing teasing a project titled LG6.5, which this could very well be.
Back in May, she told the press that her new music is "nothing like anything that I've ever made before."
Earlier this month she posted on socials that the first single from LG7 will be released some time next month. She also revealed that her fiancé Michael Polansky convinced her to make her next album a proper pop record.
