Lady Gaga, John Legend and Common performed their Oscar-winning hits at Joe Biden’s final campaign rally in Philadelphia on Monday.
Gaga belted out her 2018 song “Shallow” from A Star Is Born before praising Biden. “We needed somebody that was going to bring us all together for this moment, for this very important moment,” she said.
Gaga also performed her 2011 track “Yoü and I.”
Legend and Common performed their 2014 track “Glory” from Selma after Legend spoke about the challenges Americans have faced in 2020. “This has been a difficult year. So many of us have experienced pain and struggle and loss,” he said. “But what we haven’t lost is our ability to decide what happens next.”
Earlier in the day, Gaga performed and gave a longer speech at a Biden rally in Pittsburgh.
“Like me, you’ve experienced the last four years and have all the evidence you need to look at this choice and know in your heart, without any doubt, that Joe Biden is the right choice,” Gaga told the crowd.
The singer urged Biden supporters not to be complacent. “Now is the time to show up and vote like this country depends on it, because it does.”
Donald Trump – who had '70s rocker Ted Nugent and rapper Lil Pump at his final rally – slammed A-listers for supporting Biden. “Now he’s got Lady Gaga,” the U.S. president sniffed. “I could tell you plenty of stories – I could tell you stories about Lady Gaga, I know a lot of stories. Lady Gaga.”
