Lady Gaga, BTS and Canada’s Justin Bieber each scored multiple nominations at the 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards, which were unveiled Tuesday.
Gaga is up for seven awards, including Best Artist and Best Pop. “Rain On Me,” her hit with Ariana Grande, is nominated for Best Video, Song and Collaboration.
BTS is nominated for Best Group, Best Pop, Best Song (“Dynamite”), Best Virtual Live and Biggest Fans.
Bieber’s five nominations include Best Artist and Best Pop – and two of his fellow Canadians also earned MTV EMAs noms. The Weeknd is up for Best Artist as well as Best Video and Song (“Blinding Lights”) while Drake is vying for Best Hip Hop and Best Video (for DJ Khaled’s “POPSTAR" ft Drake).
In the regional caterogies, Best Canadian Act nominees are Bieber, The Weeknd, Alessia Cara, Jessie Reyez and last year’s winner, Johnny Orlando.
The MTV EMAs will be broadcast on Nov. 8 and, according to a release, will feature “a night of jaw-dropping performances from the hottest artists.”
