Lauren Jauregui says she hasn’t decided what kind of music she wants to make post-Fifth Harmony.
“To be real, I don't want to give myself boundaries,” she said, in an interview with Playboy, naming electronica, pop, rock ‘n roll, alt-rock and Cuban music as influences. “It's definitely different than my work with Fifth Harmony. It's me.”

Fifth Harmony announced last week that it was taking an indefinite “hiatus” so its four members can pursue solo projects.
Jauregui, 21, has already worked with Halsey, Steke Aoki, Marian Hill and Ty Dolla $ign and signed a solo record deal last year.

“Right now, I’m just exploring myself and getting in touch with myself creatively,” she said.
She added that she’s also interested in doing more than make music.
“It's so crazy how little people know about what they can do, about their rights, what they’re putting into their bodies and everything that's going on globally,” Jauregui explained. “I believe that art is the core of what starts revolutions.”
