Lee Brice has pulled out of this week’s CMA Awards after he tested positive for COVID-19.

The 41-year-old singer, who was scheduled to perform with Carly Pearce on Wednesday night’s show in Nashville, is “in good spirits and not experiencing any symptoms,” his rep told The Associated Press.

Brice and Pearce are nominated for Music Video of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for their collaboration “I Hope You’re Happy Now.”

A CMA Awards spokesperson said Brice received the positive result before arriving at rehearsals and therefore did not expose any other artists.
