Lil Nas X’s virtual concerts inside the Roblox gaming platform last weekend were viewed more than 35 million times, according to the developer.
The “Old Town Road” rapper made his debut on the popular platform with four shows that featured digital stages inspired by his songs and videos. The concert was free to access.
Roblox Corporation did not divulge the number of unique viewers.
Lil Nas X’s in-game appearance rivals Travis Scott’s Fortnite debut back in April, which Epic Games said attracted 45.8 million views over five shows.
Marshmello did a 10-minute set inside Fortnite last year that had an estimated 10 million views. J Balvin performed inside the game last month.
Other acts that have done concerts inside games include Korn, Beck and Gorillaz.
