Former boy band singer and Glee star Kevin McHale has released “Help Me Now,” a track off his forthcoming solo EP.

The 30-year-old, who is best known for playing wheelchair-bound Artie Abrams on all six seasons of Glee, was one-fourth of short-lived boy band NLT (“That Girl," "She Said, I Said").

McHale, who went public last year about his relationship with Broadway actor Austin McKenzie, said his new songs intentionally use male pronouns.

In an interview with Out, McHale recalled how difficult it was to sing about girls. “I felt awful, it didn’t feel right. Years later I was like, ‘What the f**k am I doing?’ And there’s no point in doing this if I’m not going to write how I talk,” he explained.
