The sngle borrows from Shelly Thunder’s “Sorry,” which in turn stems from Tracy Chapman’s 1988 single “Baby Can I Hold You.” The release of Queen was reportedly pushed back after Minaj publicly asked Chapman for permission.
After not wanting to delay anymore, Minaj ultimately cut the track from the album and released the single separately.
