Here is the holiday song every new mom and dad will want on their playlist – and iHeartRadio.ca is gifting it to you first!
Suzie McNeil’s brand new single “Christmas Came Early” comes only weeks after she and musician husband Andrew Mactaggart welcomed their brand new bundle of joy, Findlay James Mactaggart.
“We didn’t need a Christmas tree or falling snow for you to appear,” she sings. “No Santa’s sleigh / You got here anyway / And filled our hearts with holiday cheer.”
The couple’s son was born Nov. 17 in Toronto. “Andrew and I are so in love with him," McNeil gushed to iHeartRadio.ca days later. "What they say really is true… I’ve never felt a love like this before.”
The arrival of Findlay inspired the pair to write this seasonal song.
McNeil and Mactaggart, who tied the knot in 2014, will spend their first Christmas as parents after touring for the last two years with Steven Tyler and The Loving Mary Band.
Juno-nominated McNeil is clearly a fan of the holidays, having released four previous singles: “Santa (I’m Waiting For You),” “It’s Christmas Time,” “This is Christmas” and “For Christmas Time.”
