Lorde has apologized after she compared her friendship with Taylor Swift to hanging out with someone with an illness.
In an interview with The Guardian, Lorde was asked about her famous friendship.
"There are these different sets of considerations... It's like having a friend with an autoimmune disease," she replied.
"It's like having a friend with very specific allergies. There are certain places you can't go together. Certain things you can't do.”

Some people took to social media to criticize the comment as “ignorant.”
On Monday, Lorde tweeted that she never actually mentioned Swift by name but “regardless, I f***ed up & that was really insensitive. I’m sorry.”
