Madonna has claimed she was a victim of censorship after a concert venue in England cut short her show on Wednesday night.
The London Palladium turned on the house lights and killed the sound when the 61-year-old pop star went past the strict 11 p.m. curfew.
Madonna shouted expletives as the curtains closed. “Artists are here to disturb the peace,” she exclaimed, before stepping in front of the curtains with her dancers to sing “I Rise” with her microphone off.

On Instagram, the singer shared a video of the abrupt ending and claimed her show had run only five minutes past curfew.
“We had one more song to do and The Palladium decided to censor us by pulling down the metal fire curtain that weighs 9 tons,” Madonna wrote on Instagram. “Fortunately they stopped it half way and no one was hurt.
“Many Thanks to the entire Audience who did not move and never left us. Power to The People!!”
A spokesperson for The London Palladium told BBC News: “At no point during last night’s performance did staff … pull down, or attempt to pull down, the Iron Fire Curtain.”
