Clint Moffatt, one-fourth of the ‘90s band The Moffatts, became a proud papa this week.
The singer and his girlfriend Sydney McGovern welcomed Lake William Andrew on the morning of June 12 in the new mom's native Alberta.
Weighing 6lbs. 8oz. and measuring nearly 20 inches, the baby made its debut after six hours of labour.
“I’ve never seen anything more beautiful than watching the strength Syd had,” Clint, 33, shared on Instagram, “and the miracle of watching Lake enter this world.”
McGovern, 21, described the birth on Instagram as “probably the most amazing/hardest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life.”
She gushed: “Lake has the cutest little cry and I can't stop smooching his little lips.
“One of my favourite things is seeing both my boys snuggle in the morning it just warms my heart I love them both so much it hurts. I am on such a high right now!”
McGovern is a trained singer/dancer who runs a blog, Tinted Pink.
Lake is the first nephew for Clint’s brothers — and original bandmates — Scott, Bob, and Dave. (Bob and Clint are identical twins and Dave is a fraternal triplet.)
Dave, who stepped away from the music spotlight to work as a yoga instructor in Toronto, was in Grand Prairie for the birth and shared a photo on Instagram of himself holding the baby.
Bob, who records and performs with Clint as country duo Endless Summer, also spent time in Alberta before the delivery. Bob recently celebrated six years with wife Amanda Zieschang.

Older brother Scott, currently living in Montreal, was noticeably absent.
In February, The Moffatts — without Dave — reunited for several concerts in the Philippines, where they remain one of the most popular international acts.

The Moffatts started as a country group in their native B.C. but became pop-rock stars in 1998 with the release of Chapter I: A New Beginning and hits like “I’ll Be There For You,” “Girl Of My Dreams” and “Misery.”
Their follow-up album, 2000’s Submodalities, spawned the hit “Bang Bang Boom.”
The Moffatts won several Juno Awards, including Best Pop Album and Best Group. The band broke up in the summer of 2001.
