Megan Thee Stallion has been announced as the host for the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
In addition to hosting, Megan is also nominated for five awards: Best Collaboration for "Wanna Be" with GloRilla, Best Hip-Hop for "BOA," Best Direction for "BOA" (by Daniel Iglesias Jr.), Best Visual Effects for "BOA" (by Mathematic) and Best Art Direction for "BOA" (by Brittany Porter).
While the VMAs marks the first time Megan has hosted an awards show, she has previous experience as a host, with episodes of Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on her résumé.
Halsey, LISA, Lenny Kravitz and Benson Boone have also been added to the list of performers for the event, which also includes Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Camila Cabello, Rauw Alejandro, GloRilla and Katy Perry, who is set to receive the Video Vanguard Award, a lifetime achievement award for her outstanding contribution to popular music.
The 2024 MTV VMAs will happen live on September 11 at 8:00PM EST from the UBS Arena in Elmont, NY.
