Elton John will be recognized for his achievements in music this January, during a Grammy-organized tribute concert at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Elton John: I’m Still Standing – A Grammy Salute is scheduled to take place two days after the award show, with performances by Kesha, Miley Cyrus, Chris Martin, John Legend, Keith Urban and Sam Smith.
”Sir Elton John is an international music legend who has captivated audiences across generations for more than five decades” said Neil Portnow, president of the Recording Academy, in a statement.
With over 50 years of hits, the pop singer has won five Grammys, and has been nominated many times.

Currently, John is reportedly collaborating with Beyoncé on new versions of his Grammy-winning hits from The Lion King for the forthcoming live-action remake of the Disney film.
