Nine Inch Nails, Whitney Houston and Depeche Mode are among this year’s inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Also being welcomed are the Doobie Brothers, The Notorious B.I.G. and T. Rex.
The 2020 inductees were chosen from a list of 16 nominees unveiled last October. Among the finalists not making the cut are Soundgarden, Judas Priest, Pat Benatar and Motörhead.
The Hall of Fame considers artists and bands that released their first commercial recording at least 25 years ago. Inductees are chosen by more than 1,000 artists, historians and music industry insiders.
Houston died in 2012, The Notorious B.I.G (aka Christopher Wallace) died in 1997, and T. Rex founding member Marc Bolan died in 1977.
The 35th annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place May 2 at Public Auditorium in Cleveland and will be broadcast live on HBO. Tickets go on sale Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. ET.
