Offset said he and Cardi B are working on their marriage and he doesn’t regret going to extraordinary lengths to get her back.
“You gotta fight for what you believe in and what you love,” the rapper told Billboard.
The couple, who welcomed baby Kulture last July, announced their split in December. Cardi said: “We’ve got a lot of love for each other but things just having been working out between us for a long time. And it’s nobody’s fault, I guess we just grew out of love, but we’re not together anymore.”
Offset later crashed Cardi’s set at a California music festival with a sign made of flowers that spelled out “Take Me Back.”
“It ain’t no joke and it ain’t social media fun,” Offset said. “You might have looked at me as being selfish on-stage, but I’m just trying to get what’s mine. I’m ready to look stupid, I’m ready to take this shot in the back.”
Appearing on The Breakfast Club on Wednesday, Offset said: “You gotta go through steps and different things so we can grow.” Asked if he and Cardi are doing marriage counselling, Offset replied: “Working through it … We’re young, man.”
