In the wake of the London attacks last night at London Bridge and Borough Market – which left 7 dead and 48 injured – Ariana Grande’s manager Scooter Braun has assured everyone that benefit concert One Love Manchester would be going ahead.
One Love Manchester was planned to honour the victims of the Manchester attack, and features a line-up of Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Coldplay and others. Braun confirmed they would forge ahead by releasing a statement on his Twitter early Sunday morning (June 4).

“After the events in London, and those in Manchester a few weeks ago, we feel a sense of responsibility to honour those lost, injured and affected” Braun’s statement reads.
He continued: “We plan to honour them with courage, bravery and defiance in the face of fear. Today’s One Love Manchester concert will not only continue, but will do so with greater purpose. We must not be afraid, and in tribute to all those affected here and around the world, we will bring our voices together and sing loudly.”
Greater Manchester Police assistant chief constable Garry Shewan also confirmed the event wouldn’t be cancelled in a statement, saying:
“There are two-large scale events taking place in Greater Manchester today and we would like to assure people that these will still take place, but with additional security in place to ensure the safety of everyone... There will be additional security checks taking place and everyone will be searched, including bags.”
One Love Manchester will be broadcast live on iHeartRadio at 2pm ET. Read Braun’s full statement below:
