Two hip hop artists have taken to social media to accuse Ariana Grande of ripping them off.
Soulja Boy and Princess Nokia both suggest Grande’s new single “7 Rings” borrows from tracks they recorded.
“You’re a thief,” Soulja Boy tweeted at Grande on Saturday. “Give me my credit. Period.”
The rapper believes “7 Rings” rips off his 2010 song “Pretty Boy Swag.”
He tweeted at Grande to “stop stealing my swag.”
Princess Nokia, meanwhile, thinks a few lines in “7 Rings” copy her 2017 track “Mine.”
Grande’s song goes: “My wrists, stop watchin’, my neck is flossin’ / Make big deposits, my gloss is poppin’ / You like my hair? Gee, thanks, just bought it / I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it.”
Nokia raps: “Rock my many styles then go natural for the summer / Hair blowing in the Hummer / Flip the weave, I am stunner / It’s mine, I bought it / It’s mine, I bought it.”
In an Instagram video she has since deleted, Nokia listens to both songs and asks: “Does that sound familiar to you? Because that sounds really familiar to me.”
