Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds responded Tuesday to Kanye West’s claim that the music in Deadpool 2 borrows his style.
The rap star tweeted: “I love both Deadpool movies… I heard tracks in it that sound similar to mine… bro I would have cleared my music for Deadpool …”
Reynolds replied: “Agree. I’m having a word with Celine Dion.”
Dion, who contributed the song “Ashes” to Deadpool 2, weighed in.
"Hmm, 'Ashes (Yeezy Remix)' does have a nice ring to it… - Céline xx...," she tweeted.
West is clearly a fan of the made-in-Vancouver blockbusters. He also tweeted: “your guys writing and approach is so innovative … I love how you guys break the 4th wall… thank you for being innovative and please know I’m down to clear next time."
2016's Deadpool and this year's sequel have earned a combined $1.4 billion U.S. at the worldwide box office so far.
