The Smashing Pumpkins on Monday cancelled their previously postponed Rock Invasion 2 Tour, meaning ticket holders will get refunds.
“Though this decision did not come easily, it is our top priority to maintain the safety and health of our fans, crew, and venue staff,” read a message from the band on social media. “Tickets will automatically be refunded at point of purchase. Thank you for understanding.”
The tour, which did not include any Canadian dates, was scheduled to run April 23 to May 8 but was pushed to October due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Smashing Pumpkins were also set to open for Guns N’ Roses this summer. The stadium tour, including a July 13 show in Toronto, was postponed late last month. “We will share the updated schedule as soon as the dates are finalized & all tickets will be honoured accordingly," read a statement from Gn'R.
