Canadian pop duo Tegan and Sara announced on Tuesday that they will tour later this year in support of their Sept. 27 release Hey, I’m Just Like You.
“We have so much in store for you,” the Calgary-born sisters said, in a release. “It’s going to be a super special evening that you don’t want to miss. We’ve been away from you all for nearly two years and can’t wait to see you.”

Tegan and Sara will play a mostly acoustic set with no band and will also read from their new memoir High School. The tour, which kicks off in Brooklyn on Sept. 24, comes to seven Canadian cities – including two shows in the twins’ hometown.
Hey, I'm Just Like You is a collection of songs based on the first ones Tegan and Sara ever wrote. It was recorded in Vancouver this past April and May with an all-female creative team, including producer Alex Hope.
“With only minor tweaks to lyrics and structure, we tried to remain true to the original essence of each song,” Sara said, in a release earlier this month. “This is the record we never could have made as teenagers, full of songs we never could have written as adults.”
Tickets for the tour go on sale July 26 at 10 a.m. local time. A dollar from every ticket sold will go to the Tegan and Sara Foundation.
