The Weeknd and Bella Hadid have split, according to reports.
On Tuesday, E! News quoted an unnamed source as saying “distance” was a factor in the pair’s decision to call it quits.
“They are in different places right now, physically and mentally," the source told E! News. “Bella is prepping for her fashion week commitments and Abel is working on his music and his upcoming acting debut.”
It’s not clear what “acting debut” the source is referring to, since The Weeknd shot his cameo (he plays himself) in Uncut Gems nearly a year ago. (The film premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival next month.)
E! News also claimed the supermodel and the singer have been “arguing a lot recently” and “haven’t spent quality time together in months.”
Us Weekly cited its own source in confirming Hadid, 22, and The Weeknd, 29, broke up for the second time.
The Weeknd and Hadid started dating in 2015 and reportedly split a year later. They evidently reconciled and were spotted together at Coachella in April 2018.
Neither The Weeknd or Hadid have confirmed the reports. On Tuesday, the singer tweeted a photo of himself that he captioned: "album mode full effect."
