There’s a new (sort of) Britney Spears single but fans will need some patience.
“Swimming in the Stars,” a never-before-released track recorded for the pop star’s 2016 album Glory, is described as “a must for all devotees in the Britney Army.”
For now, the single is available only on vinyl and only from Urban Outfitters. Canadians can order now – but it won’t ship until January – at a cost of $22.98 plus shipping of either $9.95 or $29.95.
Sony Music will release the track on digital and streaming platforms in a couple of weeks.
Earlier this week, Spears vowed to never perform again unless her father Jamie is fired as her co-conservator.
In March, Spears’ youngest son Jayden Federline said he doesn’t think she will make music again. During an Instagram Live, he shared: “I remember one time I asked her, I said, ‘Mom, what happened to your music?’ and she was like, ‘I don't know, honey. I think I might just quit it.’ I'm like, ‘What? What are you saying? Like, do you know how much bank you make off of that stuff?’”
