Shawn Mendes made headlines this week with news that his Sept. 6 concert at Toronto’s Rogers Centre sold out within minutes of going on sale to the general public.
But, Ticketmaster still has unsold tickets for Mendes’ show – if you’re willing to pay.
As of Thursday morning, 53 platinum seats in front of the stage were available, ranging in price from $742.74 to $1,366.98.
On the resale site StubHub (owned by eBay) there are plenty of tickets for the Sept. 6 concert up for grabs. Prices range from $67 for 500-level seats to $2,932 for floor seats in front of the stage. Gold meet-and-greet packages are being offered on StubHub for $4,476.
“Seems like I wake up everyday living something I was dreaming about just a few years ago,” Mendes tweeted last weekend. “I can’t even begin to describe how grateful I am for everything. This [is] insane. Rogers Centre. Sold out. Thank you.”
Mendes will spend the holidays at his family’s home in Pickering, east of Toronto.
“We eat so much food. Like, an unruly amount of food,” Mendes told iHeartRadio. “It’s really just ridiculous how much food is on the table all the time.”
The singer said he’ll be watching movies like 1984's Gremlins (“because it’s in Christmas but it’s a horror movie. It’s like this really awesome mix for me”) and just hanging out with family.
“I love that I’m going to go back to Pickering and just be in a robe all day and never leave my house,” he said. “Maybe step outside for fresh air once.”
