A TV series recounting the childhood of Céline Dion is currently being developed.
Deadline reports that the show, which is going by the working title Growing Up Dion, will be produced by Céline‘s brother Jacques Dion, and based on her nephew Jimmy Dion’s book, Dion, A Family Saga.
The showrunner for the project is Zoë Green, who worked on Ash vs Evil Dead and Sirens.
Growing Up Dion “traces Dion’s childhood in Quebec and formative years growing up in a modest, music-filled household, where her bond with her mother Thérèse and close-knit dynamic of 14 sibling relationships shaped her path to global superstardom.”
“This series represents something deeply meaningful for our family, as it captures the spirit, struggles, and love that defined our upbringing,” Jacques Dion said in a statement. “We are proud to finally share this story with the world in a way that feels true to who we are.”
While there is no word of whether Céline will be involved in Growing Up Dion, she is expected to be quite busy in the coming months after announcing her return to the stage. She will begin a month-long residency at the Paris La Défense Arena in France in September.
