The latest performance video from Toronto’s Choir! Choir! Choir! is a celebration of the 25th anniversary of Alanis Morissette’s breakthrough album Jagged Little Pill.
Nobu Adilman and Daveed Goldman led 250 voices in a cover of the album’s first single, “You Oughta Know.”
Before the performance, Goldman extended an invitation to the Canadian singer. “We know you’re busy this year but, you know, we just think it would be awesome if you came and sang with us one time,” he said.
Morissette’s upcoming summer tour includes a July 11 stop in Toronto and a set the following night at Ottawa Bluesfest in her hometown.
Choir! Choir! Choir! has previously been joined by Rufus Wainwright for a performance of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” and by Rick Astley for his hit “Never Gonna Give You Up” – as well as by singers like Joel Plaskett and Andy Kim.
