Céline Dion has premiered the video for “Courage,” the title track of her new album.
The black-and-white visual was directed by Se Oh.
In September, Dion spoke to iHeartRadio’s Patrick Langlois about the track, which was written by Canada's Stephan Moccio as well as Erik Alcock and Liz Rodrigues.
“It’s not only a song, it’s an emotion, it’s a language,” she said. “Everybody’s losing people and everybody’s going through sickness … and things they can’t even figure out, and it can be overwhelming.
“You have to find within yourself courage among your family, your friends and you first, I believe.”
Dion said “Courage” represents the choices people face in difficult times. “Are you going to go through it with positivity and be open and keep going and find strength,” she said, “or are you just going to let go and stop everything and find weakness and more tears and can’t see the light?”
The “Courage” video follows the September debut of one for “Imperfections,” the first single from her 12th English studio album, out Nov. 15.
Dion is set to perform concerts in her hometown Montreal on Nov. 18, 19, 21 and 22 and will be in Toronto for shows on Dec. 9 and 10. She returns to Montreal on Feb. 18 and 19 and wraps up April with concerts in Vancouver, Edmonton, Saskatoon and Winnipeg.
