Fans didn’t have long to wait for Mariah Carey’s latest music video, “I Don’t”, featuring rapper YG. The song was only released at midnight Feb. 3, but Carey published the video to her Vevo account not long after.
The video, which is allegedly directed by Mimi herself, plays up her sexual side as she lounges in the back of a convertible, wearing only a negligée.
“I Don’t” was first teased during the season finale of her reality show, Mariah’s World, on Jan. 29.
The track was written with her longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri shortly after her public breakup with fiancé James Packer. The lyrics and video attest to that narrative, as she throws a wedding gown into a firepit and fingers the camera.
Yesterday, Carey spoke about a secret project she has in the pipeline with “a dear friend”, but refused to offer any more details.
