Zach Bryan has set July 4, Independence Day in the U.S., as the release date for his new album, The Great American Bar Scene.
In true fashion to its name, he is planning to preview the album ten days early at select bars across North America on June 24. You know, to get in the spirit.
“My intent with all this is to give everyone an early glimpse of this album, but more importantly, this is in the spirit of bringing people together for a memorable moment," Bryan wrote on Instagram. "I have chosen 23 bars across the country that embody the spirit of American culture. These bars will play select cuts from ‘The Great American Bar Scene’ starting June 24th.
"As much as I’d kill to play all these timeless bars, it won’t be possible," he added. "I will be visiting a few off the list to have a drink with ya’ll. ‘The Great American Bar Scene’ will be released on July 4th. With love from the road, ZB.”
Although it seems like a very American-focused concept, Bryan did include one Toronto bar on the list: Charlotte's Room at 212 King Street West.
And while they aren't bars or American, he will be playing songs from his new album in November for two shows at Rogers Place in Edmonton, AB and one at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC - his only announced Canadian dates for the rest of 2024. More info can be found here.
