WATCH: Johnny Orlando Premieres 'Everybody Wants You'
Canadian pop singer Johnny Orlando premiered his new single “Everybody Wants You” on Thursday.
A collaboration with songwriters/producers Kellen Pomeranz and Jesse Fink and singer-songwriter Horan Dussaigne, the track comes from Orlando’s forthcoming EP.
“I know my fans have been eagerly anticipating new music, so I am so excited to finally share ‘Everybody Wants You’ with the world,” Orlando said, in a release.
The 17-year-old said the song showcases his growth as an artist and person. “I feel like I have finally found myself artistically in terms of the direction I want to go sonically, and what I want my music to represent,” explained Orlando.
"Everybody Wants You" debuted with a video shot in Toronto and directed by Alex P. Smith with art and animation by Gabe Sapienza.
Earlier this summer, Orlando told iHeartRadio.ca about how he is spending his time during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I’ve just been going up to my cottage and chilling, laying in my backyard, and making music, of course,” he said. “I’ve tried to pick up skateboarding again… it’s been a process for sure.”
Since being signed to Universal Music Canada two years ago, Orlando has released the EP Teenage Fever and a string of singles, including “What If” ft. Mackenzie Ziegler, “Last Summer,” “Phobias” and “See You.”
Last year, he headlined an 18-city tour of the U.S. and Canada and he earned more fan votes than Shawn Mendes to win Best Canadian Act at the MTV Europe Awards.
