Rapper 6ix9ine announced late Wednesday that he is pushing back the debut of his next music video again.
“It’s not the time for a music video right now with everything going on in the world,” he explained on Instagram. “It will be extremely selfish.”
6ix9ine said the video, which he planned to release on Friday, will premiere on June 12 instead. He previously delayed the May 29 release because the video was not ready but promised it will “break the internet.”
His single "Gooba" is currently No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 after three weeks. It debuted at No. 3. The video for the track has been viewed 288 million times in less than a month.

The rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was granted an early release from prison due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The 24-year-old wears an ankle monitor and can only leave his house to receive medical attention or to meet with his lawyer.
6ix9ine was in prison serving a two-year sentence that ends July 31. He was arrested in 2018 on firearms and racketeering charges. Facing 47 years behind bars, he agreed to plead guilty to nine charges and to testify against alleged Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods members Anthony Ellison and Aljermiah Mack.
In 2015 he pleaded guilty to using a child in a sexual performance and received three years probation. He had been facing three charges related to acts involving a 13-year-old girl.
Last week, 6ix9ine said he has started recording his new album. “I literally can’t stop making hits,” he shared. “I ain’t like these other rappers who sound the same in every song.”
