Musician Father John Misty wants everyone to know he’s a fan of Canadian rock band Nickelback.

“I will ride for Nickelback,” he told NME. “I want that on the record: I ride for Nickelback.”

The 35-year-old singer, whose real name is Joshua Tillman, said Nickelback’s 2001 hit “How You Remind Me” is “a f**king great song.

“Have you heard that song? It’s great.”

Misty made his comments while talking about how The Chainsmokers mashed-up “How You Remind Me” with their song “Paris” after Esquire described the duo as “the Nickelback of EDM.”

Nickelback responded by combining The Chainsmokers’ hit “Closer” with “How You Remind Me.”

Misty couldn't explain why he likes "How You Remind Me."

He said: "That’s the problem with the internet and social media and stuff: the stuff that you like, you can’t say what it is that you like about something. If you like something, it’s supposed to be beyond the intellectual."
