Justin Bieber teased a new album after performing Sunday for the first time since announcing that he’s taking a break from music.
The Canadian pop star joined Ariana Grande on stage at her second Coachella festival appearance.
“I wasn’t going to bring out any guests tonight,” Grande told the crowd, “but my friend Justin Bieber came all the way out.”
He and Grande performed his hit “Sorry” (many fans noticed Bieber's lip-syncing skills were a bit rusty).

Bieber told the crowd it was the first time he has performed in “like two years.” He added: “I had to get my groove back, I had to get my swag back, you know what I’m saying.”
Before leaving the stage, Bieber said: “And by the way, album coming soon.”
Last month, the singer said he was taking some time to focus on his mental health. He vowed to put out an album as soon as possible and boasted “my swag is undeniable and my drive is indescribable.”
Bieber's next album will be his first since 2015's Purpose.
