Less than a month since he was arrested for drinking while intoxicated, Justin Timberlake and business partner Tiger Woods are set to open up a sports bar complex in Scotland.
The *NSYNC star and golf legend are shareholders in real estate company Nexus Luxury Collection, which has received permission to transform the New Picture House Cinema in St. Andrews into an "upscale sports bar project" that will include state-of-the-art sports simulators, a bowling alley and a darts area, while continuing to use two of the cinema's original screens.
In a statement, Christopher Anand, CEO and managing partner of the firm, said, "We are taking great care to preserve and celebrate the historic architecture and design of the theatre and continue its tradition of showcasing great films."
The New Picture House Cinema was built in 1930, but according to a report "currently runs at under 10 per cent occupancy and is no longer a viable stand-alone cinema operation."
The new development hopes locals will be able to "experience a broader range of cinema, dining and entertainment" while "protecting and enhancing the character and appearance of the conservation area."
If they're looking for some art to help spruce up the place, there is a gallery in Sag Harbor that specializes in Timberlake portraits.
