Two days after being sentenced to 46 months behind bars on weapons charges, Kodak Black was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The Miami-Dude State Attorney’s office on Friday hit the 22-year-old rapper with the charges on Friday. Each count comes with a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison.
Black, who was convicted in 2013 of attempted robbery with a weapon, purchased firearms from a Hialeah, Florida gun shop earlier this year by providing false information on the application.
In May, he was arrested before he was scheduled to perform at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami. He pleaded guilty in August and was sentenced this week.
In addition to the new Florida state charges, Black has a trial looming in South Carolina, where he is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl in a hotel room after his 2017 concert.
