Shawn Mendes gave his fans another dose of his forthcoming self-titled album on Thursday – a collaboration with Khalid titled “Youth.”
It’s the third single from Mendes’ third album, which drops May 25, and follows “In My Blood” and “Lost in Japan.” The song was reportedly inspired by the terrorist attack on fans at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester a year ago this month.
“Pain but I won’t let it turn into hate," he sings. "I won’t let it change me / You can’t take my youth away."
The 14-track collection – the Canadian singer’s first album since 2016’s Illuminate – also includes “Like To Be You,” a song featuring Julia Michaels.
