R Kelly Dumped By Record Label Report

    Sony Music, parent company of RCA Records, has pulled the plug on R Kelly.

    According to Variety, no official announcement is imminent but Kelly was removed from the online list of RCA Records artists shortly after 1 pm ET.

    Reps for RCA Records and parent company Sony Music declined to comment to Variety.

    The news comes about a week after the broadcast of Surviving R Kelly, a Lifetime docu-series that including troubling allegations of sexual misconduct by the R&B singer. 

    Amidst online campaigns to “#MuteRKelly,” Lady Gaga and Céline Dion pulled their duets with R Kelly from streaming platforms. Gaga issued a public apology and expressed support for the women who have spoken up.

    Kelly, through his lawyer, has denied all allegations.
