Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have seemingly confirmed that "Shawmila 2.0" is happening.
The artists formerly known as exes were snapped strolling hand-in-hand in New York City on Tuesday.
TMZ, which published a pair of pics, said Mendes and Cabello were “looking super happy” on their coffee run. People and Daily Mail also posted photos of the couple’s outing.
Mendes and Cabello sparked reconciliation rumblings last month when they were spotted holding hands and locking lips at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California.
At the same time, Cabello shared part of a new song in which she sings: “Are you comin’ to Coachella? / If you don’t, it’s whatever / If you do, honey, it’ll be all I think about.”
But, ET reported at the time that the singers did not rekindle their romance. "Shawn and Camila let loose during night one of Coachella and were just having fun,” a source was quoted as saying.
Mendes and Cabello announced in November 2021 that they had split. In a joint statement they shared on social media, they explained: “We've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends.”
Cabello met Mendes in the summer of 2014 when her group Fifth Harmony and Mendes went on tour as opening acts for Austin Mahone. A year later she and Mendes released the collaboration “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and both Fifth Harmony and Mendes performed at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in New York City and Chicago.
They went public as a couple in 2019, when they released their second collaboration, “Señorita.” It went on to become Mendes' first (and only) No. 1 hit.
