The Weeknd is animated once again – this time in the video for “Smile,” his collaboration with the late Juice WRLD.
The video, directed by KDC Visions, comes less than a week after the song’s release.
The Weeknd shows up at around the 1:38 mark falling out of a car that has crashed into a tree, walking over to a red convertible and driving away.
It’s the third time this year fans have seen an animated version of the singer. In May, he played himself in an episode of American Dad and last month he was animated for his "Snowchild" video.
For most of the "Smile" video, Juice WRLD – who died last December at 21 – appears in angel form.
The track is not part of Juice WRLD’s Legends Never Die album, which dropped last month and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, or The Weeknd's latest, After Hours.
Last September, Juice WRLD tweeted: “Me and the Weeknd would make a diamond record…”
