Taylor Swift releases video for You Need to Calm Down

Taylor Swift's video for her second single is here and it's loud and PROUD.

On Friday we got the second song from her upcoming album, Lover, that drops on August 23rd. You Need To Calm Down is sure to be the pop anthem of the summer and could also become a Pride anthem with lyrics like:

"Why are you mad when you could be GLAAD?"

"You just need to take several seats and then try to restore the peace
And control your urges to scream about all the people you hate
'Cause shade never made anybody less gay"

The video promeniently features rainbows and glitter and SOOO many celebrity cameos from LGBTQ+ role models like Olympian Adam Rippon, RuPaul Charles and the guys from Queer Eye! Taylor really loves dropping hints and easter eggs in her videos so this is definitely is going to be one you watch a few times to try to catch all of the cameos.

In Ellen DeGeneres scene, you can see her getting a tattoo on her forearm of the words "Cruel Summer" which seems like a pretty massive hint that the new single will most likely be titled that.

There's also a cameo from someone we NEVER thought would be there. Katy Perry! We won't spoil it for you, but it's pretty amazing. Since they're friends now, maybe we'll get some future music together?

While the music video is fun and the song is catchy, Swift also includes a call to action in the video to encourage her fans to stand up for the rights of all Americans, despite their orientation or gender:
